About the workshops

A calm, Montessori-informed studio workshop where children explore colour through mixing, movement, and storytelling before transforming colour into character and form using plasticine.
Children experiment with primary colours, discover new shades, and observe how colour relationships change. They then design and sculpt a small-scale character mask model — a miniature sculptural study (known in art as a maquette) that allows them to test ideas in colour, form, and expression.
Working at a small scale supports focus, fine motor development, and thoughtful character design. These miniature masks can later inform larger sculptural work.
The focus is on exploration, process, and individual expression — not copying a fixed outcome.
A Shared Studio Experience
This is a parent-attended workshop designed for children and their grown-ups to create side by side.
Each child booking includes one participating adult.
Parents remain onsite and are responsible for supervising their child throughout the session.
Together, you will explore colour, creative process, and calm studio practice in a supportive environment.
