Workshop Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to workshops, programs, events and creative learning experiences presented by Maria Grujicic Studio, unless separate project-specific terms are provided.
Maria Grujicic Studio
1. BOOKINGS AND PAYMENT
For paid workshops, payment is required in full at the time of booking unless another arrangement is stated in writing.
Places are limited and are allocated in the order that completed bookings and payments are received.
Prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD). Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers.
For funded or supported workshops offered at no cost to participants, please also refer to the Funded & Supported Projects Participation Policy.
2. MINIMUM ENROLMENT AND SESSION ADJUSTMENTS
Some workshops require a minimum number of participants to proceed.
Where minimum enrolment is not reached, Maria Grujicic Studio may:
• convert the session to a shorter private or small-group creative workshop at the same fee
• adjust the session duration while maintaining its educational value
• cap the session at a smaller number of participants
• reschedule the session to a future date, or
• cancel the session and provide a full refund
Participants will be notified as soon as reasonably possible if a session needs to be adjusted, rescheduled or cancelled.
3. PARTICIPANT CANCELLATIONS FOR PAID WORKSHOPS
Due to venue hire, preparation and material commitments, the following cancellation terms apply to paid workshops:
• Cancellations made more than 5 working days before the workshop may be transferred to a future session or converted to studio credit valid for 6 months.
• Cancellations made within 5 working days of the workshop are generally non-refundable and non-transferable.
Transfers within 5 working days may be considered at the discretion of Maria Grujicic Studio in cases of genuine illness, emergency, or where the place can be filled from a waiting list.
A change of mind does not qualify for a refund.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes rights available under Australian Consumer Law.
4. CANCELLATION OR CHANGE BY MARIA GRUJICIC STUDIO
If a workshop is cancelled, significantly changed or unable to proceed because of illness, venue closure, insufficient enrolments, unsafe conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered:
• transfer to a future workshop or suitable alternative session, or
• a full refund where payment has been made.
6. PARENT, CARER AND GUARDIAN RESPONSIBILITIES
Parents, carers and guardians are responsible for ensuring that the participant is within the advertised age range for the workshop.
Where a workshop is identified as parent-attended or requires parent/carer support, the parent, carer or guardian must remain on site and is responsible for supervising their child throughout the session.
For workshops where parents are not required to remain on site, they must remain contactable for the duration of the workshop and collect their child promptly at the advertised finishing time.
7. PARTICIPANT CONDUCT AND SAFETY
Maria Grujicic Studio aims to provide a safe, respectful, inclusive and creative environment.
Participants, parents, carers and guardians agree to:
• follow reasonable safety instructions
• treat other participants, staff, artworks, materials and venues respectfully
• use materials and tools appropriately
• follow venue requirements, including safety, conduct and no-smoking policies
• disclose relevant information that may affect safe participation
Maria Grujicic Studio may ask a participant, parent, carer or guardian to leave a session where behaviour creates a safety concern or significantly disrupts the experience of others.
8. ALLERGIES, MEDICAL INFORMATION AND ACCESS NEEDS
Please advise Maria Grujicic Studio at the time of enrolment of any allergies, medical information, access requirements, sensory preferences or support needs relevant to safe and meaningful participation.
This information will be used only for workshop planning, participant safety and reasonable support during the activity.
Parents, carers and guardians remain responsible for providing any medication, support item or specialised assistance their child may require, unless another arrangement has been agreed in writing.
9. PHOTOGRAPHY, DOCUMENTATION AND MEDIA
Workshops may be documented through photographs or short video recordings of materials, artworks, hands engaged in creative activity and the wider workshop environment.
Photography permissions are collected separately through the relevant enrolment form or permission form.
Maria Grujicic Studio will follow the photography permission selected by the participant, parent, carer or guardian.
No child’s name will be published alongside photographs or other media.
Where permission is given for general workshop photographs, images may be used for project documentation, grant reporting and acquittal, website content, social media, future exhibitions, workshops, educational materials or studio promotion.
10. PRIVACY AND CONTACT INFORMATION
Personal information is collected only for workshop administration, participant safety, emergency contact, project documentation and communication related to the enrolled activity.
Optional consent is requested separately for Studio Updates, newsletters, future workshops, exhibitions, picture books and creative resources.
Participants may unsubscribe from Studio Updates at any time.
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
All reasonable care is taken to provide a safe, respectful learning environment.
Participation in creative activities may involve minor risks associated with art materials, tools, movement, collaborative making or venue environments.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes rights available under Australian Consumer Law.
