The Little Luna May Nature Story | Artist-Designed Girls Sundress brings Maria Grujicic’s original Little Luna May illustration into a flowing garment inspired by nature, storytelling and imaginative play.
This artist-designed girls sundress features Luna May on the front bodice, surrounded by soft olive tones inspired by the natural world. Across the A-line skirt, expressive foliage artwork wraps around the garment using hand-drawn and painterly marks. Curved turquoise and muted plum-brown bands finish the hem, while the solid plum-brown back grounds the composition.
Rather than placing a single illustration on a standard dress, the artwork has been developed across the whole garment. The storybook image, foliage, colour fields and contrasting hem become part of one continuous wearable composition.
Designed in Darwin, Australia, the Little Luna May collection connects Maria Grujicic’s picture-book illustration, nature-based storytelling and wearable-art practice.
