Remote is an original graphic artwork created by Maria Grujicic Studio and inspired by Darwin — a place shaped by distance, resilience, creativity and community. The word Remote reflects the uniqueness of living and creating in the Top End: far from major centres, yet full of distinctive ideas, relationships and unexpected possibilities. It is also a reflection of the Studio itself — building something creative and independent from Darwin, where special things can emerge precisely because of where we are. The artwork developed through a process of drawing, observation and composition using found forms, later refined into this graphic design. The full studio process remains part of the artwork’s story, while the finished piece is presented here as a clean, contemporary wearable design. Printed on a women’s organic cotton T-shirt in a soft off-white tone, the monochrome artwork combines flowing typography with subtle tonal detail for an understated, art-led finish.
